What You Need
To deposit XRP, you need:
- An external XRP wallet with available balance (Xaman, Coinbase, Binance, etc.)
- Your XamanProtocol XRP deposit address (found in Dashboard → Deposit)
- Your unique Destination Tag — this is critical and must be included
Step-by-Step: Depositing XRP
- Go to Dashboard → Deposit and select XRP.
- Copy your unique Deposit Address and Destination Tag.
- Open your sending wallet (Xaman, exchange, etc.).
- Send XRP to the copied address.
- Critical: Enter the Destination Tag exactly as shown. Do not omit it.
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
- Return to XamanProtocol — your deposit will appear as Pending within a few minutes.
What Is a Destination Tag?
The XRP Ledger allows many users to share one platform address by using a unique number called a Destination Tag. XamanProtocol uses a single XRP address for all user deposits, but each user gets their own unique Destination Tag.
When you send XRP, the Destination Tag tells us which account the funds belong to. If you omit the tag, we receive the funds but cannot credit them to your account automatically.
XRP Ledger Confirmations
The XRP Ledger finalizes transactions in 3–5 seconds with mathematical certainty — no waiting for multiple block confirmations like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Your deposit is confirmed on-chain almost instantly. Admin review of deposits typically takes 1–6 hours.
XRPL Account Reserve
The XRP Ledger requires every account to maintain a minimum reserve (currently 1 XRP base reserve + 0.2 XRP per trust line or escrow). This reserve amount is held by the ledger and is not available for transfer while the account is active. This is an XRPL protocol requirement, not a XamanProtocol fee.
