How Withdrawals Work

Learn the withdrawal process from requesting funds to receiving them in your external wallet.

What Is a Withdrawal?

A withdrawal transfers funds from your XamanProtocol account balance to an external wallet address you specify. Withdrawals require an admin review before being processed.

The Withdrawal Lifecycle

Step 1 — Submit Request

In your dashboard, click Withdraw, select the asset and amount, and enter your external wallet address. Double-check the address — blockchain transactions cannot be reversed.

Step 2 — Request Is Queued (Pending)

Your withdrawal request is recorded. The amount is placed in a hold state — it is no longer available for staking but has not yet been sent.

Step 3 — Admin Review

Our team reviews the request: verifies your identity, checks account security, and confirms the destination address is valid. This typically takes 1–24 hours.

Step 4 — Funds Sent (Completed)

Once approved, the funds are sent to your specified address on the blockchain. The transaction hash is recorded in your activity feed so you can verify on a blockchain explorer.

Why Withdrawals Are Reviewed

Withdrawal review is a security measure that protects you:

  • Prevents unauthorized withdrawals if your account is compromised
  • Verifies destination addresses are valid
  • Flags unusual patterns (e.g., large amounts to new addresses)
  • Ensures regulatory compliance

This extra step may add time, but it significantly reduces the risk of loss due to fraud or mistakes.

Withdrawal Fees

XamanProtocol charges a small withdrawal fee to cover blockchain network fees and processing. The exact fee for each asset is shown on the withdrawal form before you confirm. Fees are deducted from the withdrawal amount.

Minimum Withdrawal Amounts

Minimum withdrawal amounts are set per asset and displayed on the withdrawal form. Requests below the minimum cannot be processed due to the blockchain network fees relative to the amount.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel a withdrawal after submitting it?+
You may be able to cancel a withdrawal while it is in Pending status, before our team processes it. Contact support immediately if you need to cancel. Once processed, withdrawals cannot be reversed.
How long do withdrawals take?+
Most withdrawals are processed within 1–24 hours. During high-volume periods or weekends, processing may take up to 48 hours.
I entered the wrong address — what do I do?+
Contact support immediately. If your withdrawal has not been processed yet (still Pending), we may be able to cancel it. If it has already been sent to the wrong address, it typically cannot be recovered.
Why is there a withdrawal hold after a deposit?+
To prevent fraud, a short holding period may apply to newly deposited funds before withdrawal is available. This is a standard security practice.
Is there a withdrawal limit?+
Daily and monthly withdrawal limits may apply based on your account verification level. Contact support to understand your current limits.
What if my withdrawal is rejected?+
Rejected withdrawals are returned to your account balance. Check the reason in your activity feed and correct any issues before resubmitting.
Can I withdraw to an exchange?+
Yes. You can withdraw to any valid XRP or XLM address, including exchange deposit addresses. If the exchange requires a destination tag/memo, enter it in the withdrawal form.
